To the glory of God and through the power of the Holy Spirit we will be a loving fellowship of believers who intentionally further God’s Kingdom by making disciples and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

This is the vision statement the congregation of Orrville Mennonite Church discerned from the Lord through intense prayer, study and visioning several years ago.

It is the goal of the congregation to continue to interpret this vision and work it out in the practice of our lives as individuals and as a congregation. This process is exciting as we hone our understanding and practice of being a loving fellowship of believers and work at doing our part to intentionally further the Kingdom of God. However this happens, it is for the glory of God and this can only happen through the power of the Holy Spirit.

As we look ahead as a body in the continued movement of the Holy Spirit among us, it is our hope that we will grow daily in making disciples and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. We are creating two expectations: a safe pace to serve and a welcoming place to invite. We interpret this in another way as well. We are making our primary purpose doing hands-on, outrightly evangelistic, welcoming outreach.

We welcome you as a person as you are. We are trying to create a welcoming space that gives you and anyone who joins us an open opportunity to connect with God at whatever level is your need.

We are interested in creating safe places for you to be active in your faith – wherever it is – by offering ways you may discover and use your spiritual gifts and talents.

Here you will find a church home that is praying actively and practicing being a safe place for people to experience God, worship Him, and follow Him.  This is a time of movement for the congregation of Orrville Mennonite Church. The Holy Spirit is at work in hearts and minds, helping us to focus on blessing others — making disciples, sharing the good news. We welcome you to be a part of who we are becoming.
